Advantages Of Saddle Hunting

  • Extremely Lightweight Tree Saddles: Tree Saddles are lightweight, making you more mobile. Perfect for the Public Land Owner! Our new lightweight saddle hunting steps make climbing a breeze too. At 24 ounces, we offer some of the lightest saddle hunting steps on the market.
  • Little to no noise: With a tree saddle, you don’t get the noise typically associated with pulling up tree stands.
  • Hunters Safety: While there have been lots of hunters who have fallen from conventional tree stands, when saddle hunting you are tethered to the tree from the moment you leave the ground until you step back on it after the hunt, making it almost impossible to fall.
  • Affordable: While some of our saddle hunting platforms may be a tad more expensive than some traditional tree stands, you only need 1 saddle hunting platform. Gone are the days of needing multiple stands for multiple sets. Save time and money saddle hunting.

I was searching for a lightweight, cost effective, well built option for a platform. When I found the solo scout, it seemed to have met all 3 criteria. After receiving it and having the chance to get used to setup/use, I couldn’t be more impressed. In fact, I’ve recently cut out another 1.5lbs by learning to use it as a climbing method through the use of a ladder aider.

Buy one, you won’t regret it.

Love this little platform. I prefer a ring-of-steps to the big platforms that are now popular and the solo scout with a slotted squirrel step on each side of the platform is a great blend of both worlds. Plus I can hang an aider off the scout and use it for one-stick climbing - total climbing and platform/ROS is only 2.8 pounds! And the scout is rock solid on the tree with great traction. Like I said, I am loving this little platform.

Didnt really need this but thought it would a good add to toolbox esp for shorter hunts. Works great and love it. No issues. Compact, light and effective!

Rock solid little platform, can handle any side pressure. I pair it with a wild edge step around the side to spin around a tree and that is all you need. No issues with long sits.

    Solo scout platform

It works, it's light with a small footprint. Easily attached to the tree fast. I would rate it higher if you changed nothing except for making the platform completely flat, guess it would be nice to be able to stand just a little bit for certain shot angle, and it's not great if your boots have any snowpack on them pretty slick.
Also the buckle on the strap should be probably be moved at least another inch, a number of times my has barely touched it the the platform loosens up and moved down the tree then you have to mess around trying to get it back up to were it was set.
Overall though it very well made and a nice platform for the money just didn't work out as great as I thought it would

I use this with my saddle set up and it’s light weight well built. Wish there was a little less of an angle but otherwise a solid platform great size and weight

Surprisingly very comfortable for how small it is. I also have the Predator Xl and although its not as versatile it is more comfortable. Holds side pressure very well too. If you pair it in conjunction with your top climbing stick then you can easily increase your shooting lanes.

    Solo Scout

I just received my new Solo Scout and am very pleased with it. Awesome finish, rock solid on the tree, holds all the side pressure I could put on it. Lightweight and packable. I even paired it with two treehopper steps to create R.O.S. around the back side of the tree. I am very happy with this product and so will be anybody else that purchases one.

    Solo Scout

Great product! I am new to tree saddle hunting and chose the Solo Scout as my platform due to its size and weight. I am 5'7", 160 lbs and wear a size 9 boot. The platform provides plenty of room to comfortably brace your feet for extended saddle hunts. It is easy to hang and does not slip when side pressure is applied. Very pleased and would recommend this platform!

Overall I like the product. It is small and easy to pack in. Works well when on the tree. The straps cinch or whatever is it called is very noisy when it bangs on the platform. But nothing a little DIY can’t fix.
