Lil Ambush
The stand itself seems to be very well built. It’s compact, light weight and sturdy. However, the hanging straps provided are very difficult to use and will need to be replaced with a more user friendly strap.

Lil Ambush
It's called LIL because it is small. Nothing special to lose weight just SMALL. I'm 190lb and my ass won't fit on it with any comfort. Immediately had to put tape in places to deaden noise when hauling. Well built but I would suggest measuring out the size and replicating it with wood to see if you can comfortably sit on it for 2 - 4 hours or more because 2 hours for me was painful although my legs didn't know it because they were asleep 45min into it!!

LiL Ambush Tree stand
This stand is perfect! I’m really impressed with how tight against the tree it holds, no movement at all. Comfortable and quiet easy to hang

Lil ambush
Awesome over looked treestand. 2 piece design makes hanging it a breeze and more than enough room for me. For reference I'm 6'2" with size 12s

Lil Ambush
Tru weight, very compact, fits very well on the back and easy up the tree and to hang. Bought for Saddle use and it works as hoped it would. I wrapped it with Camo wrap and made a cushion for seat, still light and easy to use. A very good piece to the hunting puzzle. I have platforms and a L/W Assault and this is right there with them, OOAL you did well.

Great product
I tried saddle hunting for one season, and devised that saddle hunting was not for me. The saddle seemed to aggravate lower back issues. So I was looking for a lightweight treestand that i could use as a hang and hunt setup. I settled on the lil-ambush for 2 reasons, it is USA made, and i like to support small companies. Out-on-a-limb seems like an innovative company tailoring to mobile hunters needs at a reasonable price. i knew before i purchased this that there were a couple of things i wish were different, 1; i don't like ratchet straps for hanging treestands! 2. i would have preferred a one piece design. But with some minor mods, i can change those 2-negatives. This is a small stand, but it is comfortable, and the platform area is huntable. the platform area is where it needs to be, i can easily rotate 360 degrees to shoot from the stand. the seat is the perfect height and size. I will probably add a thin foam pad to the seat. to add to the comfort. i have never hunted from a luxury comfort treestand, but i have used several brands of cheap steel stands and a XOP ambush, and summits & API climbing stands. this is every bit as comfortable as the steel stands, and much more comfortable than the XOP. the XOP has a big thick pad, but it is a weird position in relation to the tree. The Lil ambush shines in its weight. it is the lightest stand i have ever picked up. i did not weigh it, but it really feels light. most of the big name companies list their weights for the bare naked treestand, but you cannot hunt from the stand without a strap to attach it to a tree. the hunt weight on my XOP was over 14#, it is advertised as 11#. OOAL have made a nice mobile hunting treestand. is you are looking for a light huntable treestand, i think the lil-ambush is a good option.
