Cleat Adapter for Tethrd One Climbing Stick

If they didn’t make this I’d be tempted to slap a cleat on myself. This is well made, mates perfect to the round tubing and increases my confidence/safety. How I did it… Instructions are lacking. The “silver” looking part is just the titanium after the tan plastic wrap is removed. Basically use heat gun or torch to careful break epoxy bond. Very carefully cut two sides of the original rope cleat (I used a dremel and hack saw) without cutting the titanium tubing. Drilling titanium is tough! Punch & divot your holes carefully, use the paper jig that comes with the harken. I should’ve used the press but hand drilled and had to enlarge my holes slightly to get the bolts through. I believe I went with 2.5” 10-24 stainless bolts and washers with nylon locking nuts. Lock tite would hurt either, use both. My bolts were barely long enough. 3”+ and cut to length. Counter sunk heads I believe.

This works great and allowed me to turn a climbing stick into my “One Stick”. Added this and a Harken 150 with the 3/16 Amsteel and it all works perfectly.

Very thankful this product exists. Thanks to this product I was able to make the ultimate one stick. Worth noting you should probably upgrade to their burry Amsteel for seamless transitions. I opted to utilize the rope the stick comes with and somewhat regret not purchasing their burry amsteel due to fact I have to loop the rope around the cleats to avoid slippage with my harken. Now I have “one stick” that’s weights in under two lbs with a 3 step aider. Thanks out on a limb!

Installed on tethrd one gen 3 for easier transition during climbs while one sticking. Although it is slightly bulky, the product has performed exactly how I wanted. Easy installation with just a drill and long enough bolts to pass through makes this thing stout and easier to move while ascending.

The adapter is great. I chose self installation which went very smoothly. Was able to through bolt the cam cleat on to the stick via the adapter and now I'm able to throw my 1 Stick on the tree in seconds. Great addition to the arsenal!
